Perissa Arianna York was born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, the youngest daughter of 3, raised by a single-mother, Yvonne Jefferson who worked as a lead housekeeper for Bethesda Hospital. With her two older sisters, she saw the power of women working hard for their dreams. She fell in love with acting and drama when she took drama at Crossroads Elementary School and continued at Murray Junior High School. She was always active growing up, cheer-leading from 2nd through the 8th grade and started playing violin in the 4th grade. She studied dance while attending Saint Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists and also voice as a Post-Secondary Enrollment Option at McNally Smith College of Music from her Sophomore through her Senior year. (2010-2014) Performing in "Hair Spray" as Dynamite with the Young Artists Initiative in her junior year(2013). Perissa started as a freshman at the University of Minnesota with a double major for dance and business. She decided to move to Florida to attend the University of Tampa for better opportunities in film and TV. She is currently pursuing Entrepreneurship, BA with a minor in Dance. Currently studying at The Performers Studio Workshop with Kathy Laughlin, while learning to play the guitar.
